Wind Songs

So this has been an interesting month so far. Whereas I normally have a crash and burn with a one day recovery, this one has lasted almost two weeks. I’ve been tired. Not just a “Man I need to get to bed early tired.” But a bone weary, face showing tiredness that has been hard to shake. What makes it bearable is the fact that I have a lot to look forward to. Meetings with friends, workshops I know will be a hoot with students that have become friends and lastly the time to create which always makes me smile. And of course, new things in the works.

I’m currently planning a long, whirlwind of a trip in July that will take me to new places, let me meet more like minded folks and expand my horizons. Putting together a new product line and trying to keep it under wraps has been difficult. Whether or not it will be profitable is yet to be seen, but my concern isn’t necessarily monetary, but soul reaching.

I decided I wanted this art to be less about selling a product and more about creating an experience for those who do purchase from me. I’m sharing my heart and a love that I hope will be well received. Because really, life is just better when the smile you receive is in return for the smile you gave. Make it a great day, everyday.
