A Bird’s Life

What a great week I had. Busy, but wonderful. Had a conversation with a friend about gratitude. I know that he is currently experiencing what others would consider hardships, but what we both understood is that through it all God is there.

You know that saying about “birds of a feather”? You sometimes know immediately when you click with the folks around you. As an introvert (I know, I heard your gasp of shock, hahaha) I find it hard to open up especially in new crowds. But when you find your tribe you can literally feel what you have in common. And it's not even that you wear the same clothes, eat the same foods or run in the same circles.

It's the look on their face, the way they listen when you speak. Or best yet, when you can discuss things that you are on the opposite ends of the spectrum on and still leave each other with a hug and well wishes. You may not know their struggles, but you know about their love. So speak in love, show some love, make it a great day for them and for you.

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
