That Refreshing Breeze

In 2001 I was Saved. What a breath of fresh air!! Matter of fact, I’ll apologize in advance to anyone reading this that knew me back before then. Can’t tell you how many times someone came up to me (or wrote in my yearbook “I hated you when I first met you.” ) You can’t make that up. But I digress…

I learned what it meant to have a Church Family. I learned that God loved me just where I was at, no other major hoops to jump through but to Believe. Sounds too simple?

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

But most of all, I learned how to read the Bible. I learned how to search it and find out to apply His Word to MY everyday life. My most convicting moment came after reading the Book of James. Whew!! I wanted to crawl under my chair!!!

I feel like the problems arise when people read the Bible not as a road map for their own lives, but how they can use it as a weapon against others. So, if anyone ever tries to make you feel as if your Sin is unforgivable, that you are less than Precious in His sight, please consider reading the Word for yourself. He never said your road would be easy, but you are loved with an everlasting love. Jesus is with you, Always. Make it a great day, every day.
